Hello everyone.
I was wondering how much of daily practice as a family physician could be described as teaching or counseling. Things like: discussing medications, teaching patients about diseases and their management, healthy lifestyles/nutrion, mental health counseling, etc. The idea of a physician as a teacher/guide/counselor (as well as the medical aspects) really intrigues me. Is family medicine anything like this in reality?
Thanks for your time and consideration.
