I overheard someone today say that Jeremey Lin's story is similar to Tim Tebows.
I couldn't help to chuckle when I heard this.
First off, they are far from similar - I figured I would make a list highlighting their differences.
1) Jeremy Lin was not recruited out of high school whereas every major college football program was drooling over Tebow.
2) Jeremy Lin went to Harvard and was unknown to everyone except to the students at Harvard. Tebow was GOD at Florida. He was on 2, yeah 2 National championship teams. Tebow won the heisman, essentially did things no other human being ever to play college football has ever done.
3) Jeremy Lin was undrafted, cut by 2 teams, and now has finally started to play. Tebow on the other hand was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, and signed a guaranteed contract worth millions.
4) Jeremy Lin is lighting it up in his first 9 starts in the NBA, he has scored more points than literally everyone who has played before him in his first 9 - watching Lin is actually pretty entertaining.
Watching Tebow is like watching a dentist pull teeth, i mean, seriously the dude didn't even complete 50% of his passes, I haven't played football since high school and I could probably do better than that. Things get exciting in the last few minutes of game with Tebow.

6) Tebow is jacked, Lin isn't
7) Tebow is a virgin, Don't know about Lin
8) Tebow is left handed, Lin isn't
Other than what I have said above, their stories are pretty much the same if you think about it...
