Technical Problem with LORs

Hey Guys,

One of my professors is trying to upload a LOR for me. He wrote it in MS Office, 2 pages in font 12 (as he said, didn't see it though). Then he saved it as a PDF. but when he tries to upload it states the size can't be larger than 8.5X11 inches.
How does he overcome that?
He asked me for help , and since i can't see the letter i can't really play with anything..

Advices?
