CMS: “We are proposing that, through CY 2025, we will continue to permit the distant site practitioner to use their currently enrolled practice location instead of their home address when providing telehealth services from their home.”


Aka: if you are doing telemedicine from home, you do not have to list your home address. You can use the address listed in your NPI.

Seems pretty bonkers to change that. Inviting any disgruntled patient (or family members) to harass you (or do worse), especially if you do any kind of forensic work. Not to mention any unstable patients who grow too attached....

Always a good idea to make it hard for someone to find you, but, if someone is really motivated, it'll happen.
