This time you get to send TWO emails:

1) Telling Congress to tie reimbursement to an "Economic Index" (i.e., keeping our reimbursements in line with our expenses).

2) Telling Congress to:
a. Prevent our home addresses from being published
b. Pay us for collaborating with another provider
c. Pay us for creating a safety plan for patients with SI

What is the home address thing about? I've never heard of that.

CMS: “We are proposing that, through CY 2025, we will continue to permit the distant site practitioner to use their currently enrolled practice location instead of their home address when providing telehealth services from their home.”

Aka: if you are doing telemedicine from home, you do not have to list your home address. You can use the address listed in your NPI.

Seems pretty bonkers to change that. Inviting any disgruntled patient (or family members) to harass you (or do worse), especially if you do any kind of forensic work. Not to mention any unstable patients who grow too attached....

Always a good idea to make it hard for someone to find you, but, if someone is really motivated, it'll happen.

It takes all of 30 seconds if you don't want to edit the messages, in case anyone is worried about the time commitment.

Can confirm. To send (really four unedited) emails, it took me maybe a minute. One to the Biden Administration, one to my rep, and one to each US senator.
