For those that interviewed already, is this more than likely the first question the are going to ask?

Also, I’m preparing for my interview next week and I feel like there are endless amount of questions... I find new questions every day and sometimes I can't answer them on the spot.

How did you guys go about preparing for it?

Some schools have it as a first question, some not at all.
Rather than trying to answer all those questions, know your stories well because then you can choose one of those to respond to the question. So, know about five stories/achievements/experiences well (one for each finger) and based on the question, use one of them! That was my strategy

Ok that is great advice! Haha thank you so much🙂 all the questions were overwhelming me but you're right.. I can definitely answer multiple questions with the same story/example.

It's definitely easy to ramble on and on about a single topic. For an open ended question like "Can you tell me about yourself?" I made sure to pause for a quick moment and think in bullet points of the most important things I wanted my interviewer to know. The same method can be applied to any other question. There might be some online resources of common interview questions. Try going over a few of these questions with another person (or in front of a mirror) to get more comfortable.

Also, be prepared to answer any sort of ethical question. Not saying you should memorize your answer, but just familiarize yourself in case they throw one your way.

Another tip someone told me was that it's not only what you say, but how you say it. People don't really think about this, but try not to lean back in your chair (sit a little bit more forward), remember to make eye contact, shake the interviewer's hand, etc. Most importantly, BE YOURSELF. I honestly do not know how "tell me about yourself" scares people lol Have you never interviewed at a professional job? This is the easiest thing ever (if you have a well rounded and holistic resume of course.)
