Hey guys, what do you guys usually say when an interviewer asks you "Tell me about your family." How in depth do you guys go? Are there any key things you guys usually mention? Thanks.

Hmm well I am adopted along with my twin sister to parents who later divorced, so I usually start with that. I roughly summarize what my childhood was like, and how my family supports me/will continue to support me during medical school. Other than that, unless I get follow up questions by the interviewer I try to keep it short.

:bang:

Seriously? Could you ask for an easier prompt, about anything, ever?

:bang:

Hold that- How should I introduce myself? I mean, do I include my middle name, mother's maiden name, confirmation name, nickname, what my s.o. calls me in bed.... AHHH So many options!!!

You do realize that such a question is simply to start and get you to say something? Or, maybe you didn't?

An alternative question, the answer for which is of similar importance, is "What did you have for dinner last night?"
