Temple interview results?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You should hear really soon, they had a quick turnover for me like, 3 weeks I think. I went on 10/7. FYI i got waitlisted, i am out of state though, if that is an excuse... 🙂

Anyone interview at Temple around November 7th and hear anything back yet? I'm starting to get on the mailman's nerves....

Hey, I interviewed on the 7th too. 🙂 I just got a letter from them, postmarked the 26th. They said that post interview they put candidates in either the reject pile or a "continuing candidates" list, and off of that list they take a few people every month. They also said they'd accept in-state people before taking anyone out of state, which I found really, really weird. 🙄 😕

Yeah, I think I mentioned this in a thread a while back but I interviewed at Temple early on in their interview cycle and my interviewer told me before I left that "frankly he was shocked to see an out of stater interviewed so early and as a result I would most likely be waitlisted" Don't know who dropped the ball and intvited me so early but there were a couple other out of staters there that day as well. I would love to get off that waitlist, though. That is some ER they have there....

same with me. the admissions officer came into the waiting room and told me they were surprised an out-of-stater was there so early, and that i'd definitely be put in the "continuing cadidates" category.
and i was...

thanks for the input-I'm still waiting-they said it would be 3-4 weeks but maybe the Thanksgiving holiday slowed things down...

yup, here is some stats from US News...

In state, 917 applied, 410 interviewed, 332 accepted.
Out of state, 6087 applied, 477 interviewed, 176 accepted.

so, its pretty hard out of state, but in state, your chances are pretty good

It has one of the best reps in the country.

A friend of mine (out of stater) interviewed there. I think they might be trending towards out of staters more than they used to in the past.....so that should cheer up some of you applicants! 😎
