so, I called Dr. Carp wondering if Temple got all of my stuff and apparently I got an interview.... haha He said the email was sent out a week ago or something, never got the email... apparently it was in my spam. But w/e this definitely made my day since at least I have a shot at at least one of my schools lol. The interview is in two weeks though so I'm kind of nervous/freaking out. Was wondering if anyone else got an interview for Temple?

Jchen,

I applied to and was accepted to Temple. Honestly, I left the interview very impressed with the faculty and students at my interview. Some ppl argue that Temple is in a sketchy part of Philly, but friends I have in the program said that it turned out not being a big issue. I am from Philly and grew up in North Philadelphia, so the neighborhood did not bother me as much. I would advise you to go in with an open mind, be confident in your abilities as a student and future professional in the field, and try to be yourself. Best wishes throughout the interview process!

OX777,

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely trying to go in with an open mind because i've heard great things about the program. I'm not gonna lie, i'm a little worried about the area it's in, but i'll see it for myself next friday and judge it then. Hopefully i do well *fingers crossed*

I have an interview there on the 14th. Is that when yours is?

nice. whats your major and where are you doing your undergrad?

I'm a biochem major at Bowdoin College in Maine. I'm graduating this December (a semester early).

You?

Just got back from my interview at temple. Have to say, I'm very impressed with the facilities (aside from the weight room.... a little small and in the basement of the student union). Faculty were really impressive from diverse fields too. The actual interview was really short. We were only asked two questions each. Why PT? and the next question was different for everyone, mine was "how do you cope with stress". The rest of the interview time was spent us (6ish applicants) asking them questions (we had 2 profs and 2 students as interviewers). Overall, I think temple has moved up on my list after the visit. The area isn't as bad as people have made it out to be. The immediate surrounding area is quite safe actually, and most of the time it's about using common sense and not putting yourself in a dangerous situation. I hear back from Temple about a final decision in 3 weeks ... eek!.

O also, there were a total of 35 applicants present today and Dr. Carp said that at this point, they've received over 1000 applications (he also said that they were received the second highest number of apps last year, second to USC). Hope this helps other pple out there and good luck to everyone else!

Just got my acceptance from Temple DPT! pretty excited since it was my first interview and obviously my first acceptance. Any one else that interviewed on 10/14 get their decision?

just got back from an interview at temple today. there were about 35-40 students interviewing today as well. I was very impressed with the library and cadaver lab, and the neighborhood seemed fine. Temple definitely moved up on my list, and i will deifninately consider going there if I'm accepted. I may rather be closer to downtown, but still very impressed. good luck to everyone

Just got my acceptance letter today from my Nov 18 interview!! Good luck everyone

I just put in my application to this school. I made a list of schools that I would apply too way back in September and Temple was on it but only just now got to adding it to my designations.
