I've been on both a kent state interview and a temple interview. I've learned that kent state has a media share, which allows students to go back and listen to lectures online. I'm pretty sure temple has something like that. Is that true? And how well does it work?

We call it Class Capture. Last semester there were a few lectures that had errors in the class capture (it didnt work or half of the class was cut) but this semester the system has been flawless. The lectures are usually uploaded online within 2 hours of finishing the class.

The class capture shows the power point and a video feed of the class (and the professor). Audio is great (unless professor forgets to turn on the mic). Many students use class capture instead of going to class.

most of the schools have this or the equivalent to my knowledge. It also allows you to speed up the lecture so you can watch it in less time.

I know a few schools also pay students to take notes for the entire class which are then uploaded online.

I know that CSPM doesn't have recorded lectures unfortunately. I think just having the option of using the recordings brings an entirely new dimension to the material and help students learn on their own time and pace.

Yeah wish they did, but I understand. There's no way they would record lectures for just 40 something students.
