SHould we start collecting?Someone told me yes but I wasn't sure.

Temple sent out an email yesterday saying we needed to start collecting--I think they said something like a "quarter of a jar full."

No joke. Check the dozens of threads that pop up around this time each year. You'll need the teeth for endo class.

I know asdoh requires you to collect teeth for your first year as well

It doesn't really matter what school it is. Just start collecting them. If you don't use them in endo class, you may use them for your licensing exam. Or you'll know someone who may need some when they take their exam.

LSU requires us to collect teeth, I received a formal letter stating "we need (i think) 2 quarts of teeth, and to start collecting before we start. they also said to store in diluted bleach, and when we turn it in, they will store it in 10% formaldehyde, im storing it in 37% formalin.

I heard that storing teeth for endo in dilute bleach cause teeth to become brittle, anyone have advice on this, or should i continue to store in formalin?? thanks

yes, if you are going to temple, start collecting teeth. most offices are willing to help, and know what you are there for when you walk in with a jar of diluted bleach solution. make sure you ask nicely and thank them.

OHSU requires students to collect teeth as well - 75 to 100 teeth! =)

all the office i went to told me straight up "no..." saying how its not 'right' to give out teeth even if u are a predent (i even brought a letter stating i need to collect teeth ) ti went to 3 places and they said "we throw them away. sorry. we can't do it its not in our policy..." i have to try out more places... but doesn't seem so nice out there =(
