I recently was accepted to both and am not really sure where to attend. It seemed like you would get a lot of exposure at Temple and their new building might increase their reputation but Jefferson had a really nice campus and good rotation sites. If you had an acceptance to both, where would you go and why?

Let me start by saying both are amazing schools and I would LOVE to be in your situation right now. Jefferson has a very well-known hospital, and a reputation comparable to that of Temple's. For me, the draw of Temple is its proximity to an underprivileged community, which is the type of community I'd wish to serve as a physician. As such, I would probably choose to matriculate at Temple. However, I'm a little biased because I already interviewed there last week and have not received an II from Jefferson (yet). I guess what it comes down to is 1) their match list, 2) the location, and where you would rather be, and 3) where you see yourself. During my interview day, I was exposed to so many great students--both current and prospective--and really saw myself as a student there. I could just as easily see myself somewhere else, though, if I got that same feeling. If all else fails, pick a name out of a hat! I did that when choosing which fraternity to join and that worked out great for me! haha

Jeff is in a nicer part of the city. It is also affiliated with a strong orthopedics program and a very strong opthalmology program. For whatever reason, it is also viewed as more prestigious than Temple by people from the Philadelphia area (for whatever that is worth...).

@Choboy Which are you choosing, if you don't mind saying? (As well as your impression from the second looks?)

Also, are there any other objective differences between the two, besides location?
