"Term Paper" Research

I did a lengthy independent primary research project on health, but it has not been published yet...

1. How does one go about publishing work like this?
2. Is it worth talking about if it (interview, amcas, PS) is not published?

Would this be looked upon more favorably than just a normal term paper?

Is it ever worth mentioning projects such as these?

It took about 15 weeks and it was done through interviews and surveys. My prof suggessted that I publish it, but she never told me where or how and now she is on sabatticle (sp?).

If you're an undergrad, there are numerous undergraduate research journals you can submit too. I don't know what they are, but I know they're there.
