I just took the OAT for the first time and I didn't do so great. I'm thinking about retaking it but I'm scared that i will do worse the second time.

My scores are:
Bio 270
GC 300
OC 330
PHY 260
RC 280
QR 300
AA 290
TS 290
GPA: 3.2

Do I have any chance of getting into any school with these scores?
Has anyone gotten in with similar scores?

Those are not terrible. We have seen people get accepted with those score. Which schools you want to apply? My advice is apply early, really early and call the school and ask. If they want you to retake then do so.

You should definitely retake it because you're not far from where you need to be! It would be super easy for you to bring up your RC score. I would get your application in asap and schedule your next OAT.

I've seen people get in with those scores, but honestly, it is early summer and you DO have time to re-take it. Use those 90 days wisely! You can definitely explode that score up. If you're a little lost at what to use/how to study, check out my guide I personally wrote: http://www.oatquestionoftheday.com/studying/

I think it is to your advantage to re-take and apply with better scores than settle for the current one and rely on the early rolling admission.

I am thinking of applying to the following schools:
MCPHS
NECO
UIWRSO
PCO
NOVA
SUNY
Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry ( I don't really want to go here but I'm hoping it can be a back up if I don't get in anywhere else.)

I was planning on sending my applications out on July 1, so I won't be able to retake the OAT within that time because of the 90 day waiting period between exams. Should I apply with these scores, or wait until I can retake the OAT?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks! I have used Kaplan to study for the OAT the first time I took it. I just got the OAT destroyer hopefully it helps. Do you think the OAT destroyer is good enough to get my scores up, or do I need all of the books? It's a little overwhelming and intimidating looking at all of these study materials. Also, have you used the OAT achiever? I was thinking of ordering it, but I'm not sure how good it is.

Thanks again! The link is definitely very helpful!

OAT Destroyer should help a TON. Don't let the difficulty intimidate you (it is HARDER than the real OAT). Also read the solutions and learn from them! I have never used OAT achiever, so I can't testify. While the links in the page I posted are comprehensive, they aren't all necessarily required. I would still recommend Chad's videos @ coursesaver.com. I think he was the BIGGEST contributer to my success for sure. Cracking the OAT (Princeton) for physics was also another one
