I have just signed up for USMLEworld and I took a 50question exam just to see where I stand; my score is30%! I have just finished my first review and will start my second tomorrow and I would like to take the exam in March..What should I do with such a low score. I am terrified and don't know what to do. Thanks for your input

don't panic and continue studying 😉

Thanks for your input. It's just that I have only two months to master the materials and I fell like it might that i might have to take a bit more time. Like you said..I will continue to study and do q-bank.

Any one in this situation?

Thanks..

Im also a bit scared . Actually right now i am studying both USMLEworld and Kaplan qbank(Kaplan q bank that i have was just an old review material) . When I look at my scores in USMLEWorld i really panic especially that Im taking the USMLE this february. My average is still in the 50's. I dont know if its a good idea to extend...So how are you studying right now?

Try not to be too discouraged, many people I've talked to say that USMLEworld is harder than the real thing. Just keep plugging away at it. Try to pick up on the types of questions you are continually getting wrong, etc. You will NEVER feel like you know everything, so just have confidence in knowing that you're doing all you can.

(At least this is what I keep trying to tell myself...haha)

Hi Amrmd...I guess I am not alone..That's good you're getting in the 50s and you still have time to raise your score. From what I've been reading, just keep doing more questions at least 200 per day and go over the answers.

I've already went through my first reading..The sources that I used are lippincott Biochem, BRS path, BRS physiology, MMR (form micro), kaplan immuno, high yields: neuro, embryo, anatomy and histo and of course first aid especially for pharm.

For my seond reading...I've just finished high yield biochem and i'm reading high yield molecular to go along with the genetic part (in first aid it seems that they are combined). I will continue to read high yields for anatomy, embryo and neuro.
My lowest scores are on physio, path, and pharm (FA) and I don't really know which sources to use or should I keep up with the sources i have and just add Goljan or should I stick with Goljan only for path?

THanks Guitar, it seems that i'm not using the right aproach in answering the question. I guess I won't be ready as much as I want, but 30% seems to be too low..I guess more questions

The most important subjects that we should strengthen according to those i asked are the 3 P's (Pharma, Physio, Patho) ....and unfortunately they seem to be my waterloo as well. I'd suggest that you stick with 1 source only per subject. It depends i guess but i get more stressed seeing a lot of books and not being able to retain much.

I read only Kaplan books except for Micro (i used the Made Ridiculously simple) ...and read it twice. I just started reviewing Q bank last January 1st and i really dont know if i am ready considering im still below average standards for the qbank. Right now im reading kaplan qbank for pathology (pirated type) .After finishing it then i'll proceed with USMLEWorld Pathology section
