Im a little nervous, test is on the 25th, i have done achiever tests, but trying to not look at the score using it as a tool for studying really, I have a topscore test and another achiever test, should i do them back to back today and tomorrow or should i just do one test and then study uptil exam? I never took the ADA 2009 or 2007 versions, and dont know if its too late for me to get those now, any suggestions??

I'm in the same boat as u pal. Exam's on the 24th. Been doing Achiever recently (been getting my ass handed to me) and I'm enrolled in Kaplan and have done those exams as well (in those I can get in the 21-23 range easily. Lol. Go figure)

I'm doing a really rush run through of all the sciences right now and I'll probably do the 2009 ADA test before I go in on Wednesday morning. Anyway you should do whatever you feel will benefit you the most. Obviously though, you're the only one who knows how much anything in particular will benefit you.

Best of luck! (to both of us!)

I never took the ADA exams and only took the Achiever ones. Take the Topscore test I'd say to get you confident. Don't wear yourself out by taking numerous practice tests with 2-3 days left. And you're right in not to look at the score, you'll score much better.. so worry not about that. Keep strong, review what your weak in and don't stress out too much. If youve been studying your butt off for atleast the past month, you should be fine to even take the final day off if needed.

Edit: Goodluck!

I took the achiever test again, gosh these tests are ridiculous! do you guys know if the PAT section is pretty similar to achiever tests? there are some thinner folds that i didnt see on the CDP, i went through all 10 tests of those and some of these i saw didnt show up there, also the TFE..people have been saying that the counting method doesnt for the actual, and with CDP counting method was pretty easy to use vs achiever, so just nervous been averaging 19-20 on CDP tests and this one was alot more challenging, should i be worried!

And those chemistry calculations seriously?! i dont think there can be that many and that in depth, hope im not wrong otherwise its gonna be a killer!

Thanks for the feedback guys, good luck on your tests as well, just hope these past two months pay off!!

Just took my DAT today, and I must say that there is a pretty distinct difference between Achiever and CDP. To be honest, CDP was very much like the real DAT with respect to keyholes, TFE, and angles. Hole punching and cube counting were easier than CDP. Pattern folding was harder on the real DAT. There were some folds that were pretty insane. Achiever, I thought it was pretty difficult in general. Compared to the real DAT, it was harder. In general, Achiever is NOT representative of how you will do on the real DAT. You will score 4-5 points higher on the real thing.

For general chemistry, there weren't many calculations. The ones that were calculation-type questions though were NOT that detailed. If you have Destroyer, then you'll be set. It is definitely harder than the real DAT. Just know the concepts and basic calculations and you will be fine!

k that made me feel little better! Math i just know is gonna be horrible, i am so bad at math, ive gone thru math destroyer atleast 6-7 of them and im still really slow at getting thru all questions usually still have 10 left over..

Thanks for the feedback, awesome scores!! 🙂

math destroyer is also more difficult than the real QR section but it's a great help to cover the basic concepts.

good luck.
