Hi,

I am having problems understanding why they subtracted 1 and added 23 in the last step of the answer (94-1+23) otherwise I understand everything.

Any help is appreciated, took me a while to cut and group all those images together 😛

ok what is salt means? something like Na+Cl-
compound B(O-)(Na+)
H leaves compound B and compound B becomes salt with Na
This is why compound B - (molar mass of H) + (molar mass of Na) = 94 - 1 +23 = 116g/mol which is the same as 116mg/mmol.
