Texas App question...URGENT

Hi guys, I'm done with the Texas app except for this one question which I know will defn stall me, i mean i have some ideas and some text drafted out but not certain exactly what they are asking for in the question:

(Optional Question) Briefly discuss any unique circumstances or life experiences that are relevant to your application which have not previously been presented.

I mean what kind of circumstances? Personal hardships? death in family? academic difficulties? what do they mean? the closest that i can relate this question to is the secondary app question for Texas A&M which asks describe some circumstances of hardship in your life bla bla...

anyone who is a texas applicant please help!!!

Unless you have something really important to say that you didn't say in another part of your application, leave it blank. It's optional for a reason. If you faced sort of hardship, sure, use it for that; but don't be redundant, and don't feel like you have to write something. I left it blank and still got interviews at all the schools.

I agree with the previous post..... Don't say anything unless you think you need to. For instance, do you need to explain a semester when your GPA dropped b/c of some personal issues. Or something like that. Don't feel that you HAVE to put something down. My advice is that if you dont already know of something that you need to put.... dont put anything at all and get your app sent out ASAP. Even though you havent finished that one question, your app wont be sent until you submit the whole thing. The first rounds of Texas Apps went out on June 25.

wait now i'm confused...the first round of texas apps were already sent out??

Yep. I had everything submitted by May 31 and i called TMDSAS last week and checked my account.... and the first round of apps were processed and sent to schools on Wed June 25. Good luck!

When I spoke to TMDSAS in early June, they said they had already sent out the 1st round of apps in May. They said mine would be sent in the 2nd round, and it went out June 18. So maybe the June 25 apps were the 3rd round.
