hey guys;

I am appyling this year, just wondering if any texas sdners ran into this promblem. I plan on having my application in on the 1st of may since, may 1st is the official start date for applications in texas. But unfortunatelly my pre health committee at my school does not meet until may 19th for the letter of recommendations. Is IT BETTER TO WAIT FOR THE COMMITTEE FOR THE RECOMMENDATIONS OR IS IT BETTER TO HAVE THE PROFESSORS SEND THE LETTERS OUT THEMSELVES TOTALLY BYPASSING THE COMMITTEE. kidn of like the early bird gets the worm type deal.
WHAT YOU GUYS THINK

I would go with the committees if that is what the schools want. Some schools just want the letters form the teachers, so find out with the schools you are applying to. Also if you are applying by Adsas it takes them like 3 weeks just to get your application out, so the committee will have met by then anyway. PLus most schools dont even start looking at applications till at least July, so it doesnt really matter if you get it out on the first day or not, as long as you get it out early.

Letters of recommendation are separate for the application that you submit online. The letters have to be submitted by whoever is giving you a recommendation. So complete the application and give the professors or the committe the forms that they will have to turn in.
I submitted my application on 6/3. It was sent to school on 6/26. The last LOR was received by tmdsas on 7/19.
