Anyone have experience either going there or knowing about their premed program?

Specifically, wondering about admission rates and how they work with nontraditional students.

I have several classmates from TCU. They seem to be well-prepared and loved their school.

I can't comment specifically about the other information, though.

TCU would be nice for the weather and Big 12 sports. I personally wouldn't ever attend a religously affiliated school, but to each her own.

You're saying you'd LIKE Texas weather?

Well, I guess there is a little something for everybody 😉

Nah, religious affiliation doesn't bug me too much. My primary care doc tried to push me toward a Jesuit education though.

As a bit (read: a lot) of a lapse Baptist, that would've been a hell of a culture shock, no pun intended.

From what I've seen from places like TCU and similar, the religious affiliation is superficial. No required chapel time, etc.

Also wondering if anyone knows if the school has dealings with the local med schools, MD or DO. I know the other school I'm leaning toward (UTA) has some ins with UTSW.
