Hello all!
I'm the resident chair for the Texas Neurologic Society, and I would like to promote awareness to residents and attendings who are interested in joining.
What are the benefits of joining? It's a great way to meet future and current colleagues, make an early impact on the politics of medicine, as a "resume builder", and in regards to the resident poster competition - to publish any research you are involved in, gaining the glory and envy of all other residents in Texas.
The meetings are also opportunities to gain CME credit, and usually include dinners with attendings who can help advise you on how to start a practice.
It's an excellent opportunity and I believe it costs nothing for residents, and is a minimal fee for attendings. Please contact me on this thread or via PM with any questions, I hope to hear from you soon!!
Sincerely,
bblue
