IF you have an object where the front and back of it have the same shape cut out and the backside mimics it but is hidden. Is that 'would be' dotted line made a solid because of the same shape in front of it?

Does this make sense?

Example: If you have a cube, and you look straight at it, the side closest to you mimics exactly the side farthest from you. In this case, you would simply see a solid-lined square (no dashes) which outlines front side overlapping a solid-lined square outlining the back side. You would not see any dashes. I'm not sure if this is what you're trying to get at. Maybe a drawing would help?

Yea it think that explains it...

picture a square with a semicircle cut out in the front and the same thing in the back. Without that front semicircle the back one would be a dotted line, but since the front is there it is a solid because it overlaps. Right?
