Thank you letters after fellowship interview

I am currently interviewing for a fellowship and was wondering what the consensus is on thank you letters. I am planning to send thank you letters to the program coordinator and director. Should I send letters to each of my interviewers as well? I had 9 interviews at one program and 7 at the other. I thought that may be a bit much if I sent thank you letters to all of them. ny info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't always get thank you letters after fellowship interviews. The general rule that all interviews should get a thank you letter (just my opinion, don't want to raise an old battle from pre-allo 🙄) would apply though.

Brief, can be emailed, and to the point. Only send more detailed letters to faculty that you might be interested in doing research with or having as a mentor.
