I'm just wondering for those of you who got into schools, did you write hand-written thank you letter for your professors who wrote rec letters for you? I was going to write them hand-written note after I hear back from school (I sent email thank you when I got their letters in the interfolio), and I've been putting off wiring them until now... -_-; Should I still write them thank you cards and give the cards to them personally?

No question is a bad question right? Thank you 🙂

I just sent an email.

It's never too late to say thank you, so if you want to, go for it.

Definitely. I'm considering to get a card from the school I'll be attending and write them a little 'Thank You' note.

I just wrote emails but however you do it, I feel it's appropriate to do something to acknowledge their help.

If the LOR writer e-mails you that they sent in your LOR, reply to that e-mail thanking them and follow that up with a hand written thank you note within 48 hours.

If your LOR writer does not inform you that they sent it in, but a committee service, interfolio or anything else informs you that they sent it in, send a hand written thank you note within 48 hours.

If you are unsure whether or not they have sent in your LOR after 4 weeks, a hand written thank you is a good way to get that letter finished😉

In most all circumstances, a hand written thank you is more than appropriate and anything less risks offending a sensitive individual.

good idea, forgot about it

i'd just email them though

and maybe drop in to chat a lil
