Maybe this is a silly question, but are you all hand-writing thank you notes to PDs like in note cards or typing them on paper like a letter? I was going to do mine on nice note cards but then it occurred to me that it might not be "professional" although it seems like it would be more personal. What do you think?

I think this subject was already brought up in another thread, so you might wanna check that...

To answer your question from my opinion, I'm hand-writing my thank-you cards. Typing is ok probably, but a hand-written note says to the PD & interviewers that you care enough about your position at their program to devote 5 min. to it. A typed note could be easily reproduced for everyone (so they might think).

Shut up about the stupid thankyou notes, already. This has been discussed at nauseum.

handwriting is good if you're a caveman

You're all amateurs. I'm sculpting busts of the program directors heads. For one program I wove a 9'x9' oriental rug explaining how much I loved them- in latin.
