I GOT IN! (MWU-CPG)
And SDN has been a HUGE factor contributing to my successful application and subsequent acceptance! I am living proof that you CAN get in to a pharmacy school AFTER screwing up your initial non-pharmacy undergraduate work (more to follow on that below). 😉
All the tips and information have been extremely beneficial: PCAT preparation, prerequisites, school-specific info, interview tips, early application tips, etc. All of these and more were highly instrumental in my getting accepted! I highly recommend SDN to everyone I meet who's pursuing a career in healthcare. 👍
Here are my stats:
Science/prereq GPA: 3.8
Overall GPA: less than 2.8 (I told you I screwed that up)
PCAT: 88
1 year hospital pharmacy volunteer experience
3 excellent LOR's (Chem prof, A&P prof, and pharmacist that I shadowed at hospital pharmacy)
AND...thanks to interview tips on SDN, I had a great interview experience.
NOTE: My BA was in English many years ago and this is a career change for me. NO science classes back then. But my recent prereq grades have been stellar.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU AND GOOD LUCK!
