What is your opinion on sending thank you letters? Hand written vs. e-mail? Send one to everyone vs. only the program director vs. a select few? Do they matter or do they not matter? 😕😕😕

do them. hand written. everyone. they matter >0%, and therefore are worth the effort because the reward is infinitely high (i.e. you match into derm), while the cost is finite and will only take you several hours. This is akin to Reno's 'apply everywhere' argument, which i endorse.
