Thanksgiving time off

How much time do you all get off for Thanksgiving? Just Thursday, or Friday too? Does anyone have to go in on Thankgiving?

At our school, it's completely site and rotation dependent. I was working in the ED last year and had a shift on Thanksgiving. Some of my friends had to go in for a few hours also, or were given the day off, it depends.

This year, I'm on elective with a consult service. I have today off, but I have to go in tomorrow. Again...it just depends.

I am on peds right now and we have computer clippcases time given to us so I actually got wed, thu and fri off...hurray!

have this entire week off as well as the surrounding weekends. pretty sweet. 🙂

I'm on surgery - had to work Wed - out by 6pm, but Thurs, Fri and weekend were allotted to us as free time. I guess if someone were really interested in a particular area they would have gone in on days off.

4th year, so off all the time, but last year I was on Psych and had Thurs-Sun off. Gotta plan ahead when trying to decide your 3rd yr rotations (if you have a choice). Also had a lot of time around X-mas off (thanks again, Psych rotation).

was on call for trauma surgery thanksgiving day - yeah that sucked. but at least us and the other surgical team had a nice potluck dinner 🙂

Its totally school dependent. At mine everyone got Thurs thru Sun. off. It was pretty nice.

Hell, I got Wednesday until January off. I'm a 4th year too. Lovin' it.
