That glorious moment...

Mine jumped like 0.5 points
When you find out that AACOMAS science GPA only uses BCP instead of BCPM and your sGPA instantly jumps .2.![]()
Did you get Cs in math classes?

No, but a B and a BC in my two calc classes sure weren't bringing it up.
Don't forget grade replacement. The greatest magic of all AACOMAS

That's not good for me
my face after learning this awhile back?........ 😀

Also BCP is given more leniency for AACOMAS, such as nutrition classes counting as Bio 😀
BCPO

BCPO
other science ftw
Whaa? The other science section counts for science gpa too!! I feel an inapporpriate celebratory statement coming on😍
Not glorious for me. My AMCAS science gpa is a full 0.1 higher than my ACCOMAS one

With math out and other science in mine went up .38. Thank you major change from geo engineering

Opposite is true for me.

this...this has jumped my graduating sgpa from 2.99 to my improved post bach gpa ( along with retakes lol) to 3.5

I took a medical terminology class that I'm PRAYING will hold up as a science/bio course next cycle. It's the difference between a 3.51sci and a 3.48sci for me. Peanuts, I know, but I feel like every tenth of a grade point is a huge deal. 3.5 seems much higher than 3.48 to someone glancing through stacks of apps.
I think it reduced my Sgpa by a .1, 10 credits of A's off my gpa 🙁

I am 90% sure that med term is specifically specified as a non-science 😳

Fuuuuuuu.
It wasn't in the college of Bio, but it was completely systems based.

"specifically specified"... nice work, self.

Yeah mine was in the general "Health Professions" category. You can try marking it that way, but it's hard to challenge something AACOMAS put down on paper.
Yeah, you're right. I looked it up and it said it's typically non-science.
I'm going to mark it as other science, as to me it was 100% science with all of the physiology, anatomy, histology, and path we covered. If they want to change it, that's up to them, but it still sucks I'm right on the edge like that.
