Just came back from the test center, I studied for about 3 weeks on and off during my research, it was easier than the practice I had. I scored 22 to 25 on Achiever and Topscore practice tests so I was confident in scoring in low to mid 20s. I found this forum last week and bought kaplan study guide immediately, the book is very elementary though a good review. I really wasn't expecting to do this well.

PAT: 24
Bio: 29
O Chem:29
G Chem:30
RC: 29
QR:30
TS: 30
AA: 29

I applied to Harvard, Penn and Columbia, top choice is to stay at Harvard, hope my 3.6 gets me in. Anyway, time to get back in the lab, there's a huge pile of papers i need to read, i am 3 weeks behind. My advice, get good rest, read kaplan then practice from topscore/achiever.

I don't know about this specific case one way or the other, but I'm with Rlow in general. There are plenty of people who have gotten close to perfect and it only comes down to a question or two at that point, so it's certainly feasible.

The QR 30 not being a 100.0 seems off to me though. I don't think there's any way around that given how the DAT counts percentiles (less than or equal to).

Of Course anything is possible in life, but Crimson made too many mistakes, holes in his logic/reasoning and poor photoshop skills. There is no need for anyone to support this false claim and perpetuate a USELESS THREAD.

Initially I was fishing for compliments because I haven't made much progress in my work lately. To answer some of your questions:

"hahahahHAHAHAHhahahahhahahHAHAHAA!!!!!! this isnt funny. i'd die if i got those scores. like i would have fallen off my chair and died after my exam once i saw my results.
i heard nobody gets higher than 25's on the DAT!!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE. ARE YOU A FREAK GENIUS!!!!!!!! where did you come from. i want to come from there too if this place really exists"

Like I previously stated, I did not expect to do this well either, I am from New York and I am a vegetarian

guys, he is a vegetarian. I think it's legit.

this kind of score is possible but isn't it SO obvious the picture was photoshoped? ......-___-

Agreed. Not as if enough errors haven't already been spotted, but the percentiles column is center-justified on a real score report, not decimal-point justified.

true. too many errors
and not to mention this guy only has 2 posts.
i think he might secretly be a pre-med student making a prank to us pre-dents 😛

a 30 on QR should definitely be a 100.0 percentile, you can't score better than that.

IDK but according to the ADA, only 2 people in 2008 scored an AA of 27 and no one scored higher. How many people do we have just on SDN that have scored a 27+AA? I'm not accusing anyone of lying but the alternative is saying that the test has gotten a whole lot easier in 2 years.

Don't forget UclaDDS101.. 😛

I believe it, it's definitely possible. A guy from my school got a perfect on the MCAT, so why not a 29 on the DAT? There isn't a single section of the DAT that someone hasn't gotten a 30 on, so it's probable that someday someone will get a 30 on every section. It's just a matter of time.

Yep! one amazing guy. Got into all 9 schools without interviewing, and it seems like he is attending them all. Simply Amazing!

"LOL...nice fake scores...the highest dat scores in the nation last year was a 28AA.... "

What is your point...?

"I love how he said he only studied for 3 weeks lol."

I covered most of the topics on the DAT back in high school and I am a biology major with a chemistry minor so I didn't really need to prep much for it.

" F**king amazing!!! Are you currently a Harvard student and what is/was your major? "

I just finished my junior year at Harvard, my major is biology with a minor in chemistry

"29 AA, ridiculous! I would suggest applying to more than 3 schools but I think you're in a fantastic position, good luck!"

I don't see myself going to other schools, if I don't get in then I will finish my research here and apply to more schools in a few years.

Avery07, this is for you: I used photoshop to crop out the picture...

Lol uhh thanks for sharing I guess, what does this have anything to do with?

It's because people are giving up medicine route because of the darn democrats. AND also people are finally realizing that dentistry is a very good path to follow.

I think in the future, 24 DAT is probably gonna be needed to be safe

I don't disagree with your political ideology but premeds have been switching over to predental for awhile now. It's not something that just happened this year.

when 24 DAT is needed, then it's time for the ADA to completely remake the DAT to make it harder so a 20+ is considered competitive.

this is what i would do if i were in charge of the DAT anyways hah

The scores are based on percentile, not how hard the test is. Making the test harder wouldn't change the numbers at all. The only reason the the DAT scores needed are increasing would be from more people taking the DAT, so more people are getting higher scores.

If people do so well on it that it makes the curve super top heavy then you would need to have a harder test. This is what happens at Berkeley...
