Since CVS has been a common topic in other topics I thought I'd make it's own thread.

CVS has a very bad reputation in our area for overworking pharmacists. I believe only 2 people from my class took jobs there. Wags doesn't seem that different from CVS, just slightly better. However, I think if there was the opportunity to get rid of local pharmacists and outsource to india for a fraction of the wages. I seriously don't think these companies have pharmacists best interests in mind, otherwise, they would encourage more MTM and counseling opportunities instead of trying to up the # of scripts per hour.

I also wonder if Old Timer is a recruiter for CVS.

I am absolutly convinced Old Timer is a recruiter for CVS...He has to be.

Maybe they could merge all the CVS threads and make a sticky. Then we could just point new people to the sticky to get them up to speed. We could call it the CVS sucks and everyone knows it but Old Timer sticky.

1. cvs is worse than walg just because of its computer system, very frustrated when u hav to deal with almost every customer's insurance coverage, and wait, 5-6 Rxs per customer.

2. for staffing, no, it depends on the district manager. my preceptor's boss hates her so much that she couldn't get to hire just even 1 more tech/pharm intern.
