I'd often heard that medical school as like trying to drink from a fire hydrant. That analogy was okay, but I liked mine much better. Trying to learn in medical school works kinda like this:

Medical knowledge is like a huge cauldron of dry, uncooked spaghetti. The learning process goes like this.

1) Spit in the pot once.

2) Throw all the spaghetti against the wall.

3) What sticks to the wall is what you retained.

4) Repeat as necessary.

Yeah, it tests my limits as to how much I like spaghetti.

Medical school is like prison sex. Sure sometimes you get to be the man, but most of the time you're gonna be the bitch. Either way, someone gets f***** in the ass.

Not sure anyone in our class is feeling like the man right now

I tried drinking from a fire hydrant once... just got a bunch of broken teeth.

Good luck MS1's.

well it is like flying...its expensive, we have cramped seats, poor food, I constantly choose between sleeping or watching the in-flight presentation, and every so often I feel extremely nauseous....
