Hi, to those who have already taken the DAT, could you answer some questions for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am currently out of the continent (In Asia) and I am not really in a position to call the place. Some places I assume have discrepencies depending upon where it is located. I just want to know the overall consensus. THANK YOU!

1. Is the monitor flatscreen LCD? or one of those rounded old ones?
2. How big is the monitor?
3. Compared to CDP, how big are the diagrams on PAT?
4. Do they give you paper and pen?
5. Are the computer stations positioned in open space or is it enclosed for each person?
6. Do I have to answer the questions in order? (So if I wanted to answer question 55 I would have to press "next" 54 times) Or can I directly go to question #55 as soon as the test begins?
7. I need to drive 3-4 hours down from where I live (Canada) to get to the prometric center. Would you recommend me going there the night before and sleeping at a motel or just let my folks drive while I snooze? 😀

Thanks and good luck to those who are taking it soon!:luck:

1-2, 4-5: Mostly it depends on the testing center. Call them to find out (the number is on the confirmation e-mail they sent you).
6. I haven't taken it yet, but I think you have to press "next" 54 times until the end where there is a review screen with all the questions.
7. I have a lot of friends taking their mcat, which in my town is more popular than the DAT. Therefore, a lot of times Prometric in my town was full so they had to drive like 2 hours to get to the next one. They just booked a hotel and spent the night. From talking to them, they said they liked it better because it puts you in a new environment away from places you can associate with studying (and freaking out) and helps you relax a bit more.
