I've been lurking on this website for a long time, so I thought I'd post my thoughts on the DAT, which I just took recently. For months I've been looking at threads on here and getting intimidated by the ridiculous amount of time others have put in (like over ten hours a day? What?). I studied for three months, and I feel like I studied a TON, but not to the degree that other people have said. So what I'm getting to, is for those people who are intimidated about the inordinate amount of information to learn, but want a decent score, know that is IS manageable. I tried to stick to a routine, but some days I couldn't study, went on vacation, or just didn't feel like doing as much. I tend to procrastinate, and that's an understatement. Some days I probably reached 8 hours a day, but with breaks in between. They key to studying, for me at least, was quality over quantity, and really working on getting the information ingrained in your head by really being engaged with the material, telling yourself that it is interesting. I'm also not bashing anyone who was more rigorous in their studying, this is just what I did! I'm more in awe of you guys than anything haha.
I was extremely stressed the whole time, but feel like it paid off.
Determination is key, being a genius is not.
I got 21AA and 22TS
