I've done my research, gone to interviews, and even have a few acceptances. But how am I supposed to be able to judge which school I'd be most comfortable at when all the info I receive is from a website, admissions offices who are trying to sell us the school, and rankings? It's so frustrating trying to get a true feel for a school. Ugh! Any advice???

Did you meet any students while you were there? Were they happy? Did they talk to each other? Are they people you'd like to be around for the next 4 years? What was your general feel when you walked on campus? Any outstanding programs offered that you're really interested in?

Things like that. Good luck!

You really have to go with your GUT reaction on this one, I think. After all the nit-picking we do....about curricula, location, tuition, professors, research, ect.,...I feel like in the end you're working toward the same goal...and you can do very well at any med school. So I would suggest just going with your gut feeling and pick the school you feel most excited about and see yourself fitting into.

I second Jenuine. sometimes it's just the way a school jumps at you in a way you can't explain. I guess I have a suggestion, though. this is the way I decided how to go to my college, and I anticipate using the same method if I get multiple acceptances this year to med school. I imagined myself at each school. then, I picked the one at which I couldn't see myself thinking, "What if I had gone somewhere else?" Thinking that way helped me sort it out. Congratulations on your acceptances and best of luck to you in picking the one that's right for you.

thanks 🙂 that's exactly what i'm trying to do, i guess i just need to hear that i'm not missing out on anything!!
