The final two weeks of the infamous Taus method are brutal

Seems like a really good plan, but this sucks.

I just read it and I don't even know how it's possible to do 4 blocks in the AM and review them in full + 6 hours of studying. Assume you get up at 7 AM and by the time you get breakfast + coffee and sit down to study it is 8 AM. 1 hour for each block and bam you are at 12 noon. 30 minutes lunch at 12:30 pm you get back at it and it takes 2 hours to review each block so +8 hours --> 8:30 PM. Take 30 min dinner it is now 9 PM. Go to bed at 11 PM so can get in 8 hours that's only 2 hours of FA reading a day. The ONLY way this pans out is if it only takes 1 hour to review each block instead of 2. Even then it hasn't factored in break times. Am I wrong here?

I think it's only 2 blocks in the AM, at least that's what I'm doing. That takes me until about 12 or 1 pm, including review time. From there it's FA and Goljan, with a little USMLERx thrown in.

There are many plans/methods out there. The most important thing to remember is that everyone's strengths/weaknesses vary, so your individual timeline will and should differ.

I noticed that this particular plan is very path-focused --> he covets Goljan RR. Therefore, if you need heavy path review, then this suggested timeline might be helpful. However, if you feel it's your strong suit, focus on / review other things.

The one thing you should never do is follow someone else's timeline strictly. The closest your own study plan should ever come to proximity to someone else's is via selective modification. There's nothing wrong with analyzing others' timelines, but they should be used to merely construct your own (i.e. add/remove resources or reprioritize depending on personal strengths/weaknesses).

Agreed. I am dropping the RR; don't need it at this point. Also, on a second run-through of UW, so it only takes about ~1.5 hours to do and review a block, so 6-7 hours total. Not sure how it'd be possible otherwise, unless you were jamming through the reading as fast as possible (skimming). I can't force myself to read through FA/RR without quizzing myself/re-reading.

I think I'm going to drop the RR too for the most part. I might try to read the blue margins towards the end if I have time.
