ive never studied for the dat with another person. i dont mind studying alone, it just sucks when i cant figure something out on my own. but then i post a question on here and get a bunch of responses quickly. thank god for sdn

It feels so lonely and feels like im along styding DAT here....
How did u guys fight that?
We don't fight it, we just accept it. United states has about 300 million people, and only 12,000 of them apply to dental schools, thats a VERY small fraction of people who apply lol. Your chances of finding someone who is interested in healthcare AND wants to go to dentistry are pretty slim.

and Are there a lot of competitiors who write DATs in states around you guys????
Most people in my class who are interested in healthcare are pre-med. I have about 60 people in my microbiology class and another 60 in my histology.... from both these classes, I only know of 3 other students interested in dental school.

Also, How do you calculate AA after u write the sample exam in Kaplan??
Do you just average it out?
Biology + general chemistry + orgo + math + reading
Then divide everything by 5 and round up or down.
So for example: 15.1-15.4 = 15
and 15.5-15.9 = 16

I am not too sure about the 15.5, I think it might be 15, someone confirm this plz
