The Master Plan

So I am starting to rethink my master plan. Let me know what you guys think. I am approximately 5 days out. My original plan was to finish DIT, then UWorld, then do a full review of all of FA in 4 days, then review some weak spots and memorization things on the last day, with NO UWORLD QUESTIONS. I didn't finish UWorld and this is starting to haunt me. I also don't like not doing questions the last week before the test. However, my short term memory is much better than my long term, and I thought it would be good to have all of FA fresh in my head. I am 54% done with UWorld with a 69% average (timed, random). (Last few blocks 83, 75, 72, 70, 75, 79, 72, 70). I just took the NBME 7 yesterday and scored a 244. My goal on the real thing is a 240. What do you guys think? Should I stick with the master plan and do my buzz of FA or just hit my weak points in FA and finish UWorld?

I say FA alone should be fine - you are too close to the test to take the time to really learn anything new.

I remember the advice given to me allll the way back from Kaplan when studying for the MCAT that the final days before the test are meant to reinforce strengths, not learn new things.

So I endorse the idea of sticking with your plan and reinforcing your strengths.. risking a bad stretch on UW this late in the game would do you no good and getting them all right doesnt help either.

I think I'm gonna do what youre doing.. FA in 4 days and somehow someway add in the Goljan blue margin notes too. (I dont know if it can be done but my plan involves not studying the day before the test. if I have to make if a half day I will.)

NP please do share, in your euphoria, once its all over, how your test day experience went and some advice you can offer all of us getting close to test day. Tomorrow marks 3 weeks for me.. I am not doing as well as I like, and honestly I'll take a 220 at this point although I havent given up on a higher score, but at least a 220 wont slam any doors closed on me. I don't want plastics or derm.

I definitely will contribute back to all that SDN has given me during my board study. Good luck man. You can do it.
