I understand that all DS curriculums are very stressful, but which dental school curriculum is considered to be the most stressful in the nation?

I have heard Penn is one of them becaue of the fierce competition among students to specialize.

Any others to add to that list?

"stressful" is very personal. What one person finds stressful others might not.

Because most people attend only 1 dental school in thier lifetime, its impossible to gauge this.

However, My guess (and its not based on real evidence) is that the 3-year program at UoP is most stressful. Think about it, they are cramming a traditional 4-year system into 3.

being in states that has bad climates and bad people creates more stress than anything for me

i would also assume uop. 4 years of d-school is already intensely rigorous from what we've been hearing, so it's hard for me to imagine condensing the curriculum by a whole year

Agreed.

the most stressful school is the one you attend

Actually, UoP doesn't really condense the 4-year into a 3-year the same way a 4-year program is done. They do quarters instead of semesters with smaller breaks between the quarters.

Similar to when I was in high school. My high school did things a certain way with quarters, so when I moved and had to change high schools, to next one had another way of doing semesters, I only had one class left when the rest of the students in that school had a full load to do. Not saying it's not rigorous, though.

The students seem to be happy, and having a good time at UoP, and they state that once 2nd year comes, they find themselves with too much free time on their hand--maybe it just seems this way, because they had no time in the first year, though.
