First post. Nonetheless. I am kinda in hole here. Curently, I am a second year at Cal Poly Pomona. I have a 3.84 total, and 3.7 science. MCAT will hopefully come by the beginning of Spring. I have over a 100+ hours at an underprivileged hospital, 100 hours working overseas at a hospital with Palestinian refugees. Worked with university health center medical lab, 100 hours.Taking care of the homeless in my community. Worked with children at a summer camp for 100+ hours. I am a Head Coach for a youth basketball team, 60+hours, and upcoming season, I will be running the league. Also part time job at city hall. Other than the summer camp and overseas hospital, everything is ongoing. I am working with mutant yeast for research, which is going for about 6 months now, and cont.
REALLY difficult to find shadowing.
In general, assuming a descent MCAT and gpa around 3.87, what are my chances at a California med school????!!!!
