If you retake on June 2nd, do you know if it has to be at the same site you previously registered for?

i havent heard from them (not even an email offering it) but our test center did have problems (lost time while screen was frozen) so im hoping theyll offer it

I haven't heard from them either but I'm guessing this is because of the Memorial Day holiday. I am hoping we can pick another testing center because I really don't want to drive 4:30

I haven't heard from them either I wonder how many testing sites were hit. I got an email with the offering, but haven't heard from the particular test center yet.

I got an e-mail offering, and I plan on retaking but don't know if we have to retake at same center. Which, if that's the case, I'm not doing because I flew all the way out to Puerto Rico to take this test

Anyone else feel like they aren't quite doing us right here? Shouldn't we be able to at least see our percentiles before we jump faithfully into the decision of voiding our test and retaking at an unknown location? Just hearsay, but someone I tested with who had done the April exam said there was a problem with his highlight function (much less of an issue than computer freezing and losing 20 minutes) and they gave these people 30 days to decide to retake.

Fellow May test takers screwed by all the technical difficulties, I contacted AAMC who said to contact prometric who told me that they're still waiting to hear what test days are approved from AAMC and a list of test centers affected so they can mass contact everyone. Latest they said we'd hear from them is Thursday. I was on hold forever, well 20 mins. I guess a ton of neurotic pre meds like myself must be contacting them to see what's going on!

We all need to decide by tomorrow if we want to retake but it seems they won't be giving us further information such as where we would be retaking our test until Thursday? Is that correct?

I don't know if that's the latest we need to decide but they said the latest they would contact us regarding information (with information about test dates) about the retake is Thursday.

Signed up for June 2 at a different location farther away...spent way too long thinking about it lol. If I feel bad I can void and hope a 19/20 spot is still open.

were you allowed you pick where it was at or were you only given certain options

darn! that sucks. they haven't offered me a retake (i'm guessing it's probably because i finished so late on the westcoast or the proctor didn't write a report for everyone like she had said....... 😵) but amcas/prometric both reassured me we should know soon. if it's june 2nd for everyone, despite when they contacted you about it, i'm gonna lose my sh~~ as I need to make accommodations with work, even if it is the closest test center

do you have to pay still if you take it june 19/20? i figured, if it completely sucked, yes the option of voiding is there but that would basically use up all of our chances to take the exam, over the course of 1-2 months lol

I uploaded my document yesterday (Sunday), but do I need to call prometric to schedule or is AAMC going to contact me?

Also, did I need to report that there was a problem with my test? I really didn't say anything to the proctor during the test, but I had pause and lag issues that caused me to void.

Also, does our May 22 exam count as an actual take? Since it was not our fault that there were system issues?

I would submit a test center concern just in case! As far as contacting them, that's up to you. Maybe Prometric can tell you more. They told me the latest we'd hear regarding the retake is Thursday because they're still waiting for a list from AAMC about who was affected!

Got confirmed a seat for a June 2nd date. Could not pick another place (they did their best to find the closest to my address, which I appreciate.) I'm not sure if May 22nd counted as an actual take. I doubt it because its removed from my aamc account already. Good luck and hope all goes well this time around with better testing conditions!

May 22 won't count as an attempt if you verified that you had difficulties and wanted to retest. Called AAMC to confirm. Otherwise I would probably push back to later in June (...still kind of thinking about it)

Edit: they also said that they would release preliminary percentiles 3 weeks later...but then the actual score would come out a week later basically, so not sure how much that would help.

Thanks! Decisions, decisions.... I thought I'd be so relieved after May 22, focus on apps, etc. NOPE. Why would AAMC let life get a little bit easier right now?

Anyone know about testing centers?

edit: nvm - their twitter said about the same time as May 22 people..but would the June 2 percentiles be based on May 22 scores also?

Congrats on finally being finished. I decided to keep my May score. We'll both see how we did in a few weeks I guess.

This was exactly what I did. I ended up having to travel to a different state, different time zone because the spots in my city were filled for June 2nd. Spent forever deciding what I wanted to do, travel or take the test on June 19/20. But when they told me the June 19/20 date was going to be another satellite test center (which is why the program crashed on May 22), I decided to take the June 2nd test date.

I only got through the phy/chm and CARS on the May 22 one but I thought that today, physical sciences was a lot harder, so much biochem I sometimes forgot it was physical sciences. Verbal was much easier.

I felt the same way. PS was way more harder than May exam. I should have keep my May score without voiding it 🙁

Does anyone know when we get to see our percentiles? Is it June 12th?

I 100% agree with you guys--PS section was terrible, awful this time around. Its my weakest section usually but I actually felt decent about it on May 22nd exam....today, not so sure. That being said, I think I killed CARS section and did pretty well on bio/biochem, probably a little beter than may 22nd exam on that section. I also thought psych /soc was more difficult this time around, but who knows I may have been able to reason my way through it. There were just some sociological concepts in particular I wasn't familiar, and some of the passages and discreet questions had me on the verge of laughing because I legitimately had no idea. Overall I think it went well enough

Time to celebrate / finish applications though! About time
