Sometimes the PS and E.C. experiences are all interviewers have to go on when interviewing. I know this is true because this is how it is at my school. Do a good job on it, put your time into it, and make sure it really conveys who you are. I've read really good ones which left me excited about the applicant, and not-so-good ones that left me feeling "whatever" about an applicant. Also, make sure you can back your ishp up. The worst thing is when a PS doesn't match the person you meet... such a let down.
