Sometimes the PS and E.C. experiences are all interviewers have to go on when interviewing. I know this is true because this is how it is at my school. Do a good job on it, put your time into it, and make sure it really conveys who you are. I've read really good ones which left me excited about the applicant, and not-so-good ones that left me feeling "whatever" about an applicant. Also, make sure you can back your ishp up. The worst thing is when a PS doesn't match the person you meet... such a let down.

Thanks for the info about UCI 👍 It's my top choice and I've been waiting for several weeks now ("Review in Progress") to see if they will invite me for an interview. I'm glad they only know the personal statement and extracurriculars for the interview, I've got those covered and I won't have to explain ad nauseum about the C I got in O-Chem. Stupid O-Chem. 👎 Anyway, thanks again for your post and maybe I'll see you around the UCI campus this fall! 🙂 Also, are you involved with admissions committee? Or have you just read a lot of personal statements?

Man my gf told me Penis Size didnt matter. Good thing u told me; Im gonna dump her for giving me a false sense of security. I agree, this post came at a good time. Thanks Spitting Camel, for keeping it real.

edit: Also from reading ur post, im sorry to hear that some of the PS didnt meet to your expectations, and left u feeling down. But at the same time, its good to hear that some of the PS left u excited and wanting more. I am gonna try my best to improve my PS. Maybe take some herbals or somthing. Thanks again Spitting (or Swallowing?) Camel.
