The question everyone is wondering: does everyone get supplementals?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Are supplementals sent out to everyone with a 17 AA and 3.o gpa? I'm wondering if supplementals are anything to be hyped about?
Are you talking about a specific school? And if by hyped you mean fulfilling application requirements and having your app reviewed, then you better believe the hype.

They definitely don't get sent to everyone with an AA of 17 and a 3.0 GPA, I'm living proof of this. Its worth getting excited over.

Like @Advance said. There are a few select schools (ie Maryland) that only send supplementals to applicants they want to interview. Don't let a supplemental make you think you're automatically set for an interview, it does not work that way.

Someone I know had a 16AA and got supplementals and got into dental. Supplementaries cost money so, yes, from a business perspective, you should see why it is beneficial to send them to a lot of people on top of having more info from the applicant. To give you an idea, I received supplementals from many schools I applied to and only had 1 interview. I have tons of hours, exp, 19AA, high postbacc GPA, etc. So my experience, I believe almost all schools send them. It doesn't mean they aren't interested. It doesn't mean they are jumping for joy to bring you in for an interview either.

UNE too.

This has been answered. It varies by school. Check school-specific threads from last year if you're curious.

Also, I have 19 AA and last year I had 2.95 and still also got supplementals from every school I applied to but only one interview

Is it true UNE only sends to people they want to interview?

From what I gather. And they send it very soon so he turnaround time is a week. This whole dream that they may be looking at the same app (your app) everyday is a pipe dream. They look, they invite or they chuck into the reject pile. It would be nice if some schools were upfront instead of dragging it out for months and only to tell you "your under review".
