the solubility product of Ca(OH)2 in water:

a. is greatest in acidic solution
b. is greatest in neutral solution
c. is greatest in basic solution
d. does not change w/ pH

the correct answer is D, but I am not sure how to arrive to the answer. Anyone know? Thanks!

According to the Examcracker's chemistry book pg.75, the solubility product changes only with temperature. Hope this helps.👍

Solubility and solubility product are different. The solubility is affected by pH or by other products that may be in solution. The solubility product is not affected by whatever else is dissolved in a solution.
