i know this is when you withhold info bc releasing would harm the pt but whats an ex of this

is iti like that qbank question where you go in for appendicitis but find an ectopic pregnancy (but i think qbank classified that as an emergency exception)

anyways, can someone please provide me with an ex of therapeutic privilege?

It's like having a patient who has severe coronary artery disease and just had a heart attack, and then you find out he has cancer or something. If you tell him immediately, he might have another heart attack and die, so withholding it temporarily in these circumstances is an example of therapeutic privilege


The example you gave is an issue of informed consent, or lack thereof!
