I just wanted to say I am humbled by the power of God. I just got in off of Memphis waitlist. I didn't pray to get in but simply to let me trust His plans for me. My acceptance call started with 'you must have been doing some praying.'
Humbled by God and thankful for the opportunity!
1 Peter 2:11

that's really awesome! congratulations, and I wish you all the best. you obviously have the right mindset and I'm sure things will be amazing for you. Also, this gives some of the rest of us hope - those who are stuck on waiting lists...

that is awesome! Do you know UT's acceptance rate for out of state applicants? Do they have certain seats designated for specific states? In other words would it be pointless to apply as an out of stater for the next cycle? I'm completely in love with memphis and would love to go to school there, but I can't find anything on their website about that.

That's awesome to hear! Just remember throughout school and life what God did for you and what He can do through those who stay humble. It is really great to see that there are others that realize that without Him we are nothing. Take care and have fun in Memphis! Phil. 4:13

They have an agreement with Arkansas, but that is the only one I know of. I do know of other out-of-state students (without off the chart DAT scores) who have gotten in, so i would definitely apply if that is where you want to be. You may want check out Tennessee accepted off predents.com

May the FORCE be with you.

Thank you for reminding me that He has a plan for all of us. I really needed that.

Ditto.
I keep forgetting what things that we can't even imagine, He does.

I'm an out of state applicant and I will be attending UT in the fall. When I interviewed, Dr. Coleman told our group that they accept 8 out of state residents, 18 from Arkansas, and the rest from Tennessee.

Maybe give yourself and the hard work you've done some recognition and don't leave it all to God. Hopefully you did some work of your own to get there.

But congratulations!

Thank you and I appreciate that. I like the saying....

Pray like it all depends on Jesus,
Worry like it all depends on Jesus, and
Study like it all depends on you!

Oh boy, this thread is just too funny. Hallaback Jesus.

No really though, I love Jesus, he makes the best Carne Asada burritos in town!
