thinking about pediatric PM&R

HI! I will be starting medical school in the fall and am thinking about pursuing pediatric PM&R as a specialty. what can I do from the beginning to figure out if this specialty is for me and also to make good contacts for residency programs?

If you look at the SDN PM&R Roster, you'll find that one of our members is a PGY-5 in a combined Peds/PM&R Residency at the University of Cincinnati. I don't know many Peds Physiatrists other than the ones at my program and Dr. McDonald at UC Davis. Dr. Davis is extremely bright and a great teacher. His e-mail address is listed on UC Davis' PM&R website. I don't know Dr. Brennan since I haven't worked with him yet, but I know Dr. Nimec. She mainly does Botox, Gait Analysis, and works at Boston Children's Hospital in the Ortho Department. Here are the websites:
