Hey.. I'm taking my OAT on tuesday, and have been frantically trying to get a number to the prometric location I am going to, but somehow they have no number.. Will someone who has taken the OAT please tell me...

1) Do they give us scrap paper?

2) Can you highlight on the reading, because while I thought we couldn't.. the OAT achiever is letting me.

3) Will you recieve your score immediately after your test?

You will most likely be given a marker, eraser and board instead of scrap paper (you are going to have one or the other). I found this to be about as easy to use as scrap paper, but you might want to practice writing a little bit with a thin marker. You cannot highlight the reading comprehension passages, best you can do is quickly take notes as you read them. And yes, you will immediately receive your scores (it is technically called an unofficial score report, but that is because the scores will not become official and sent out to schools until four weeks after your test date).

No. Dry Eraser Board, eraser and a couple crappy markers.

I saw my scores after I clicked submit, but they did not print out my scores for me. They said I would have to wait for the official scores to be mailed to my house. How long does this take for them to do, 3-4 weeks?

Your scores become official and are mailed out to schools four weeks after your test date, however someone else would have to confirm if they ever mail you an official copy.

Yeah, mine was printed out. I never got anything mailed to my house.

That does vary by center; a number of people do not get a print out and can only view their scores on a screen (really annoying).

Since I never got a print out, will I not receive my official scores in the mail or will I have to call them up and find out what my official scores are...? Just waiting on the official scores to come in so I can input them into my application, so I am getting kind of antsy.
