so, i know i probably applied kind of late to psychiatry residency programs, (late oct), but should i be concerned that it's this late in the season and i've only gotten one interview invite? eek! did i mess up my chances at programs (i applied to 23 programs)? my mspe was submitted this week, and my lors are at my school but have yet to be uploaded (i know, i've been asking them to do it, but...) and my caf's been submitted since late oct. i'm an american do student.
ok, thanks for listening-- just wanted to vent some of my anxiety! 😱

I bet your lack of LOR's is the problem. Although each program defines differently what constitutes an appliation that is "complete enough" to review for a possible interview invite, many look for at least 1-2 letters. It's not really that late in the application season (esp for psych), so I'd really push your school to get the letters uploaded.

you really need to start putting some pressure on your school for them to download the LOR, you are paying alot of money for them to be this lazy about uploading them unless they just got them from the writters. Again, tomorrow go to your school and ask when they received the letters and why they havent been uploaded, tell them about your lonely invite, school's dont like to have people not-match, it looks bad on paper for them and it sucks for you as the candidate.

good luck.
