my question was, what are you using as a measuring stick for this? For example, last year's **Official Interview/Acceptance Thread** was at 2,000 posts by 10/2/11 as compared to 1,000 posts at 10/2/12? just curious what you are using as a metric.i think the question was the interviews are not coming more frequently as they were (at this time of the year ) last year. or people are not posting the invites on SDN.

yea theres like 2x as much post last year so we can assume either theres 2x more interview or 2x more users compared to this year.
My honest guess is that many schools have reduced the number of invites they use to hand out, b/c they have realized they have always been left in excess...many schools have also started limiting seats for Canadians as well such as tufts...it all depends on the school...NYU seems to invite everyday, while others are more pulsating. I think some schools are also spending more time on review, so they know they have a strong interest in the applicant..
Actually, in the ADEA book, you can see that Tufts has taken ZERO Canadians the past 2 years (down from like 7 three years ago). There's a bunch of schools some Canadians think are friendly to them, with no basis to back it up. Off the top of my head: Temple, Columbia, Tufts, Maryland, Indiana (no idea why anyone would think these last 2 state schools would take Canadians).Yea, tufts this year isn't accepting any international students including Canadians. It was a school for many years that Canadians aimed to get into, but not this cycle. I havn't even received an invite from NYU yet and I felt that I had a shot with gpa: 3.95 and aa:20. I think their full for pre-dec too. w/e
So shouldn't there be more posts this year compared to last year? The OP is saying there's FEWER posts :SNo you cannot assume that. Last year, Predents.com was still up and running. Last year, you didn't have to continuously post updates in that thread. This year, the same people post multiple times because there is no other way to update your interview/acceptance/rejected status. This alone could account for the increase in the number of posts when compared to last year's. Last year, when we had Predents.com, we only had to post once and if people were curious, they would just simply click on your hyperlink and see what schools you've interviewed at and what schools accepted/rejected you.

Just gotta research harder before dumping hundreds down the toilet 🙂.
Yeah, it's worth the $35. Anyways, there's still a lot of randomness to it (figuring out which schools will like you and which won't). Good luck with your applications.Interesting. I haven't actually applied to Tufts though and the only one I applied to from the list is Temple. Haven't heard back yet. Maybe getting that book would have been a good idea.
